Senior Electrical Engineer
- Postgraduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering with more than 6 years of experience
- experience in power electrical design particularly as applied to protection and control design including SCADA systems
- managing design and project teams
- technical and commercial management of contracts
- Ensure technical correctness, accuracy, quality, value and timeliness of work
- Prepare business plans, budget estimates, design briefs and/or proposal documents
- Project management of consultancy projects, including detailed scoping of new projects, preparation of proposals, time and budget estimates, and other day-today project management tasks
Senior Electrical Engineer (Primary Electrical Design)
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, acceptable for admission to membership for the Institution of Engineers, Australia, or equivalent with 6+ years of experience
- Design of HV and EHV installations and plant, particularly as applied to substations
- Provide high level engineering design skills associated with the installation of new EHV and HV equipment and the modification of existing equipment
- Design of Substations, equipment and layouts
- Transmission line design and location
- Undertake liaison with site work and provide advice
- Prepare technical and functional specifications for major HV and EHV primary and systems associated with power generation
- Prepare feasibility studies for major electrical engineering projects
Senior Technical Officer
- Provide technical skills in the development, design and production of working drawings associated with EHV and HV substation
- Technical analysis of engineering problems and issues
- Ensure technical correctness, accuracy, quality, value and timeliness of work
- Ensure designs are successfully implemented and commissioned
- Engage in the commissioning of new or upgraded plant and equipment, involving design applied to either transmission lines, substation equipment and layouts, protection, control, metering and SCADA systems
- AutoCAD and Microstation experience
Transmission Structural Engineer
- Experience in Transmission Lines
- Investigation and design of transmission lines and gantry structures
- Lattice towers, steel poles
- Line tensioning, sag, Route design, Line uprating and calculations
- Pre and Feasibility studies of Hydropower engineering
- Knowledge transmission, structural, geo-technical and hydropower disciplines
- Technical accountabilities relating to Dam design, Dam upgrade design, Dam safety and dam risk assessment, Dam break and flood plain studies, River improvement, Associated structural, geotechnical and hydraulics engineering
